From the Petite G Estate Collection, Rolex Oyster Chronograph Ref. 4500, Circa 1946 – "Prisoner's Watch"

A rare and early Rolex chronograph, reference 4500, dating to approximately 1946. Commonly nicknamed the “Prisoner’s Watch,” this model is notable for its association with post-war era collectors and its robust Oyster case. Features include a stainless steel case, original dial and hands, and a manually wound chronograph movement. All components are original except for the crown, which has been replaced. A historically significant and collectible early Rolex chronograph.
